Day 1 Winnipeg | Arrival
Arrive in Winnipeg and settle in at The Grand by Lakeview at Winnipeg Airport. This evening, meet your fellow travellers and a Churchill Wild representative during an orientation dinner, providing an introduction to the adventure ahead before your journey north begins the following morning. (Dinner is included today.)
Day 2 Winnipeg to Churchill | Flight to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge
Depart Winnipeg this morning and fly north to Churchill. Upon arrival, meet Churchill Wild’s staff and transfer to a private charter for the approximately one-hour flight to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge on the southern coast of Hudson Bay. Keep your camera ready as the flight offers sweeping aerial views across this remote northern landscape, with possible wildlife sightings along the way.
After arriving at Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, meet your hosts, settle into your room and enjoy lunch before a thorough orientation on travelling in polar bear country. This afternoon, head out with your guides to explore the Hudson Bay coastline in search of polar bears and other northern wildlife.
Return to the Lodge for appetizer hour and a tundra-inspired dinner. Evenings typically include an informative presentation or slide show led by Churchill Wild’s knowledgeable guides or staff, while clear skies may provide an opportunity to watch for the northern lights. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included today.)
Days 3 to 5 Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge | Wildlife Activities
Each morning, your guides will plan the day around wildlife activity, weather and ground conditions, allowing the itinerary to make the most of opportunities as they unfold. If polar bears or other wildlife are close to the Lodge, excursions may be adjusted to provide additional viewing and photography time. Guests may also choose to remain at the Lodge and enjoy the surrounding wilderness.

Coastal Exploration | Walking & All-Terrain Vehicles
Explore the tidal flats and Hudson Bay shoreline on foot and aboard specially outfitted all-terrain vehicles. Routes vary according to conditions, allowing your guides to seek out the best available wildlife and photography opportunities across this remarkable meeting place of tundra, boreal forest and coast.
River Deltas & Beach Ridges
Travel through the river deltas and broad beach ridges surrounding Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, discovering remote coastal landscapes shaped by water, tundra and forest. Watch for polar bears, black bears, wolves, moose, migratory birds and other wildlife as you explore with experienced guides.
Lodge Wildlife Viewing & Photography
Some of the most rewarding wildlife opportunities can occur close to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge. Spend time enjoying the views and photographing wildlife from the Lodge area while your guides monitor activity across the surrounding coastal landscape.
Northern Lights Viewing | Conditions Permitting
After dark, Churchill Wild staff monitor the skies for the northern lights. If the aurora appears, guests may receive a gentle wake-up call, providing the opportunity to step outside and photograph the display against the remote Hudson Bay landscape.
Return to the Lodge each evening for appetizer hour, tundra-inspired dining and an informative presentation or relaxed time with your fellow travellers. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included each day.)
Day 6 Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge to Churchill and Winnipeg | Guided Churchill Tour
After a final breakfast at Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, fly back across the vast Hudson Bay landscape to Churchill, with another opportunity to enjoy aerial views of this remote northern wilderness.
Back in Churchill, join a guided tour of the town and surrounding area, discovering its history as an Arctic seaport and former military community. Stops may include the Parks Canada exhibit, Itsanitaq Museum and Polar Bear Jail, while your guide will also point out colourful murals created as part of the SeaWalls mural festival.
Enjoy time to browse Churchill’s shops before gathering for a group dinner. This evening, fly south to Winnipeg and settle in at The Grand by Lakeview at Winnipeg Airport for your final overnight. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included today.)
Day 7 Winnipeg | Departure
After a restful night, check out of your hotel and make your own way to Winnipeg Airport for your onward flight. Your Hudson Bay polar bear and wildlife safari comes to an end, leaving you with memories of Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge, the Hudson Bay coast and Canada’s remarkable northern wilderness.
